The fact that you’re looking at this page shows that you’re interested in the mission God’s called us to! …or you’re just a curious person… either way we’re excited you landed here!
I met a team from Guitars for Glory in Louisville last November and was blown away by what they believe in, are called to, and work toward – equipping the world for worship. And even though I admire their passion and share their interests, I was marked by their personal commitments to their local churches – each deeply involved in ministry. It’s through this Kingdom-priority, they filter their efforts globally.
In December, we drove out and met them in Rochester, NY for a delivery of ministry funds, discussions of vision, and some incredibly messy burgers. It was somewhere between my second or third refill of Mr. Pibb when they began talking about this mission to Belize.
Here’s a snapshot of last year’s trip:
Equipment: 17 guitars, 2 cajons and a pedal board donated + delivered
Mornings: orphanage music + VBS worship
Days: worship workshops hosted through local church Casa De Dios
Evenings: worship leading at local churches and communities
Through prayer and passion, me and Missy have committed to join the journey on the ground there. We’re also joining efforts with our dear friends Valerie + Rick McFarland!
But there’s an obvious role you might play too – support.
First and foremost in prayer support – our commitment puts a spiritual target on our family. Please keep us in your prayers.
Secondly, financial support.
I know… it’s kind of a yucky word.
But would you believe us if we said we want you to pray about it? Cliche, right?
But we’re serious.
God’s called us to this journey and we’re confident He’ll clear the brush in our way.
If you’re still reading, you’re a champ. Thank you for taking the time – we love you for it!
